After U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida on Monday, the White House leader addressed the international force in Gaza and Turkey’s participation in it, while also hinting at striking Iran if it continues building its nuclear capabilities.

Trump said in press statements from the Mar-a-Lago resort in the U.S. state that he hopes to reach the second phase of the Gaza plan very quickly.

He added, “I will talk to Netanyahu about Turkey’s role in the international force in Gaza,” noting that without Netanyahu, Israel would not exist until now.

Trump pointed out that there are 5 main topics that will be on the discussion table with Netanyahu, noting that relations with the Israeli Prime Minister are at their best.

The U.S. President also pledged to do everything in Washington’s power to recover the remains of the last Israeli hostage held in the Gaza Strip.

Trump reiterated that Hamas must lay down its arms, shortly after its military wing confirmed it would not relinquish weapons. He said, “Hamas must lay down its arms.”

Striking Iran

Furthermore, Trump addressed the Iranian file and said, “I hear that Iran is trying to rebuild its nuclear sites again, and if they do that, we will strike them again.”

He also said, “Iran is seeking to rebuild its nuclear facilities,” adding, “I heard that Tehran wants to reach a nuclear agreement.”

Syrian-Israeli Agreement

In the Syrian file, Trump expressed hope for reaching an agreement between Syria and Israel, adding, “I hope Netanyahu gets along with Syria.”

He added, “We want Syria to have a chance to rise again.”

Criticized Attack on Putin’s Residence

Meanwhile, in the Russian-Ukrainian war file, the U.S. President criticized the attack that Russia accused Ukraine of launching on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He said he “just heard” about Russia’s accusation against Ukraine of attempting to attack President Vladimir Putin’s residence in northern Russia, which Kyiv denied.

Trump also added that he had a “very good conversation” with Putin earlier in the day.

Before his meeting with Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss regional security and economic cooperation.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation to enhance peace and stability in the Middle East, in line with the vision of the twenty-point peace plan proposed by Trump.

Netanyahu arrived on Monday at Mar-a-Lago, the U.S. President’s residence in Palm Beach, Florida, to hold a meeting between them.

The meeting is the fifth in the United States between the close allies since Trump’s return to the White House about a year ago.

Netanyahu’s visit comes days after intense diplomatic activity in Florida, where Trump hosted his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday to hold talks on ending the Russian invasion.
